OpenAPI spec in, .NET Web API solution out.
Archived showcase. Built 2020–2023 as part of Athy Labs, before ChatGPT and AI coding assistants were part of everyday development. It shows one way to generate .NET services from an OpenAPI spec using dotnet new templates and Roslyn. The tool is still on NuGet but no longer maintained.
Athy (short for Automated Hydroponics) was a side project from 2019 to 2023. It started as an ESP32 and Raspberry Pi hydroponics platform written in .NET, and this code generator grew out of it. The code lives in the athy-org GitHub org, and the full story is in this post.
These days the work sits under Lilly Labs.
